Abstract: Scientific instruments are the cornerstone of scientific research, the support of scientific and technological innovation, the key to personnel training and the bridge of social service and cooperation, and the important symbol of evaluating the scientific research strength of colleges and universities. There are many kinds of scientific instruments in colleges and universities, with high value, highly specialized expertise requirements and complex maintenance protocols. In the new era, with the rise of digital economy and artificial intelligence (AI) technology, the transformation from traditional maintenance mode to digital centralized maintenance has become a strategic imperative in the management of scientific research instruments in colleges and universities. From the perspectives of instrument characteristics, maintenance status and innovation measures, the practice and exploration are carried out to improve the efficiency and quality of scientific instruments maintenance, prolong operational longevity, and provide strong support for scientific research activities.
