Abstract: The relationship between the structure and the density of the composite material and thermal expansion characteristic was explored by push rod dilatometer. The phase transition of the material was also studied by combined dilatometer with other method. The technological parameters of the glass processing can be determined from the curve of thermal expansion coefficient. Therefore the push rod dilatometer is very useful in the research of thermal performance of the material.
