Abstract: The fluorescence derivatization for alcohols and acids in high performance liquid chromatography can increase detective sensitivity, and improve separation. Reviewed the progress of fluorescence derivatization for alcohols and acids in high performance liquid chromatography from 1990. The structures of the derivatizing reagents were listed, and the conditions of derivatization procedure were also discussed. The developing direction was pointed out.
