Abstract: A new method for analyzing Alkybenzene sulfonate(ABS)was developed by using electro spray ionization-mass spectrometry(ESI-MS)technique. Direct inject the sample to mass spectrometry, we can obtain a result of qualitative, and then the molecular weight and structural formula of main component for this surfactant can be determined. This method is simpleness and easy to operate.
