Analytical Method for Sulfur Recovery Catalysts by High Frequency IR Carbon/Sulfur Determinator

  • The contents of carbon/sulfur deposition in sulfur recovery catalysts were determined by a carbon/sulfur determinator (ELTRA CS-800). Effects of accelerators and sample amount on analytical results were discussed. The precision of analysis method was investigated. The experimental results showed that the method with good repeatability is reliable. For sulfur recovery catalysts, when the sample amount was 50.0~70.0 mg, the carbon recovery was 96.8%~100%, the sulfur recovery was 98.9%~100%, the relative standard deviation was less than 3%.
