A Study on the Fragrance of the Fresh Flowers of Magnolia Rufidula Law et Zhou by Different Collection Methods

The fragrance in the fresh flowers of Magolia. rufidula Law et Zhou is collected by four Different methods-XAD-4 hydrophobic resin absorption, microwave heating then XAD-4 resin absorption, vacuum steam distillation and XAD-4 resin absorption and extraction with ether-and analysed by GC/MS. The analytical result shows that the constituents of fragrance extracted by ether are more abundant and those by other methods are alike but less abundant. The microwave heating then XDA-4 resin absorption is a good method in respect of time and sample consumption.
