Simultaneous Determination of Trace Arsenic and Phosphorus by Ratio Spectrum and Derivative Spectrophotometric Method

Ratio spectrum and derivative technique were used for the simultaneous determination of trace As and P in the ion-associate complex compounds with ethyl rhodamine B. The interference from overlapping spectra was eliminated by the proposed data processing technipue, without separation or masking. The influence of several factors on the results were studied. The proposed method was applied to the analysis of synthetic samples and water samples, and statisfactory results were obtained.
