Surface-enhanced Resonance Scattering Spectroscopic Study of Ag-CV System

  • The interaction between silver sol and crystal violet has been studied by means of resonance scattering spectroscopy and UV spectrophotometry. The silver sol exhibits two resonance scattering peaks at 345 nm and 700 nm in the pH 4.0 buffer solution of 0.3 mol/L acetate. The surface-enhanced effect has been observed when the cation dye crystal violet was added to the silver sol. The signal of resonance scattering at 345 nm and 700 nm is enhanced greatly. The sensitive surface-enhanced resonance scattering spectra was obtained. This new technique has important uses in bioanalytical chemistry, bioinorganic chemistry and semiconductor photocatalyst.
