Synthesis of New Shiff’s Base DBSAQ and Fluorimetric Determination of Trace Aluminum(Ⅲ) in Crops

  • A new shiff's base,3,5-dibromsalicylaldehyde-8-aminoquinoline(DBSAQ) was prepared and its characteristics was determined. The optimal conditions for the fluorescent complex forming of DBSAQ with aluminum(Ⅲ) were confirmed. The λexem=430 m/535 nm,the molar ratio of Al(Ⅲ) to DBSAQ was determined to be 1:2. The proposed method was used for the determination of aluminum in crops in the range of 1.2~240 μg/L.
