Measuerment of Partition Coefficient by Double Column Gas Chromatography

A simple reliable method for measuring the partition coefficient of organic compounds was established by double column gas chromatography. It was based on the linearity of retention time(t_R) and the logarithmic of partition coefficient(log p) or the linearity of the t_Rm/t_Rn and log p on the different polar stationary phase. The partition coefficient of alkane and alcohol were measured with satisfactory results.
