Abstract
Tungsten and iron chip as flux the carbon and sulfur in suspended particulates can be successfully determined at the same time by the HF-combustion IR absorption spectrometric method. The influence of black value and flux and analysis time is examined. Virtue of this method is rapid and accurately. Carbon and sulfur in range of 0.1%~3% can be determined accurately. The relative standard deviation is less than 7%.
