Determination of Dyestuff in Hair Dye by Capillary Gas Chromatography

A GC method for the determination of phenol, o-phenylenediamine, m-phenylenediamine, p-phenylenediamine, catechol, hydroquinone, and resorcinol in hairdye was reported. The results showed that theses dyes could be separated with the capillary column completely. The detection limits were 50 ng,160 ng,180 ng, 240 ng,280 ng,190 ng,180 ng respectively. The determined precision of the method were 2.07%～4.33%. The recoveries were 96.1%～103.3%. The method is simple, rapid and accurate.
