Analysis of Volatile Compounds from Antirheumatism Analgesic Prescription by Static-Headspace-GC-MS

  • A static headspace-GC-MS method was used to analysis volatile compounds in Traditional Chinese Medicine (Antirheumatism Analgesic Prescription). We tried different methods to increase the sensitivity and the result showed that the direct headspace analysis of the medicine had the best sensitivity. From this medicine we identified 60 compounds which percentage are higher than 0.2%, and 40 compounds were made sure by the retention indices. The main compounds of these essences were β-Gurjunene(20.5%)、Esdragole(14.5%)、β-Selinene (6.0%)and β-Patchoulene (5.7%).The relative atandard deviation of this method was between 0.54% and 8.39%.
