Determination of Bergenin in Saxifragaceae Plant by High Performance Capillary Electrophoresis

  • A method, in which Benzene ethamine was used as the internal standard, was developed for the determination of bergenin in Saxifragaceae plant by high performance capillary electrophoresis. The effects of buffer system, pH value and the concentration of buffer were discussed. The bergenin and the internal standard were baseline separation with 10 mmol/L borate buffer at pH 9.00. The calibration curves exhibited good linearity between the ratios of the concentrations of bergenin and internal standard and the ratios of the peak area of bergenin and internal standard over the concentration range from 5 to 100 g/L with the correlation coefficients of 0.998 9. The relative standard deviations of the intra-day and inter-day were 1.7% and 4.6%, respectively.
