Resonance Scattering Determination of Zinc in Microelement Fertilizer Based on the Formation of Dithizone Complex Particles

  • In pH 9.0 H3-NH4Cl buffer solution, Zn(Ⅱ) and dithizone combine to stable complex particles, which exhibit resonance scattering effect at 605 nm. The scattering intensity at 605 nm is linear to Zn concentration in the range of 0.02~1.54 μg/mL. The detection limit is 0.008 μg/mL Zn. This method has been applied to determination of Zn in microelement fertilizer, with sensitivity, simplicity, reproducibility and satisfactory results.
