Abstract

A sensitive and precise method for determination the content of nicotine in tobacco was established by gas chromatography. The quinoline is used as internal standard, and the capillary column is a HP-INNOWAX(30 m×0.25 mm×0.25 μm), and the detector is NPD. A good linearity was obtained from 0.0899 mg/mL to 1.798 mg/mL(r=0.9998). The average recovery was 99.33%, RSD was 1.79%.
