Determination of Aroclors in Soil by Accelerated Solvent Extraction and Gas Chromatography

A method for the determination of Aroclors in soil by accelerated solvent extraction,concentrated sulfuric acid purification and gas chromatography has been established.Good linear relationship between Aroclors concentrations and high sensitivity were obtained.The recovery was from 70% to 110%,and RSD,less than 17%.It has been applied to the certified standard soil samples and environmental soil samples with satisfactory results.
