Abstract
Tobacco samples are digested by a HNO3-H2O2 system in a closed microwave digestion instrument, and are then determined by the continuous flow analysis . A method of quantitative analysis of potassium in flue-cured tobacco has been established. The results showed that the recoveries were between 99.47%~100.08% and the relative standard deviations were lower than 2%.The results were in agreement with certified values with a relative error of 1.19%. As compared with the sulfuric acid atmosphereric pressure digestion method, this method can determine the contents of potassium in flue-cured tobacco accurately and rapidly.
