Simultaneous Determination of Major and Minor Components in Clay Samples by XRF Spectrometry

  • An X-Ray fluorescence spectrometric method(using a ZSX Primus Ⅱ XRF spectrometor) with fusion sample preparation technique has been developed for the determination of Al2O3、SiO2、Fe2O3、CaO、MgO、K2O、Na2O、MnO、P2O5、TiO2、Cu、Cr in clay. The matrix effect was corrected by experiential α coefficient and scattered line as the internal standard. The results are in agreement with certified values with precision of less than 10% RSD.
