Abstract
An analytical method for the determination of As(Ⅲ) and As(Ⅴ) in seaweed products is established using HPLC-AFS. The samples were extracted with dilute nitric acid and then centrifuged. After a solid-phase extraction, the analytes were quantified on a Hamilton PRP X-100 column(250×4.1 mm,10 μm)with gradient elution. The linear correlation coefficients of As(Ⅲ) and As(Ⅴ) were greater than 0.9990. The average recoveries of the two inorganic arsenic species ranged from 90.3%~106.5%. The method is effective and sensitive, and is suitable for the analysis of inorganic arsenic speciation in seaweed products.
